This is a short, plain English summary of what Planning Ahead collects and why. It is a draft and should be reviewed before launch.
What we collect
- Your email address, only if you join our list. We also save whether you signed up as a family, organization or government, and which page you signed up from.
- Visit data such as pages viewed, free resources opened or printed, and general device information, collected through Google Tag Manager.
- Nothing you type on the printable pages. The Family Emergency Plan and 72 Hour Kit checklist stay in your browser. We never receive what you write.
Why we collect it
We use your email to send new guides and launch news, about once a month. We use visit data to see which resources help people most, so we can make better ones.
Your choices
Joining the list is optional and needs your clear consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. To ask us to delete your data, write to hello@planning-ahead.com.
Who handles your data
Our email list is managed by Mailchimp. Website analytics are provided by Google. These providers may process data outside Canada.
